But the calendar notifications that come up on my modular watch face vary. My calendar syncs to my watch in exactly the same way, with the same constant times if I look in the watch calendar app or the glance. The iPhone syncs with the Mac, and 7:00 remains 7:00 no matter where I am in the world and what time zone my Mac and iPhone are set to.Now comes my new Apple watch. But it seems that the watch is on San Francisco time rather than Pretoria? I'm guessing that the clock itself on the phone is setting its time based on the local cell towers. So you are purposely manually overriding your time zone for calendar both on the computer and the iPhone. Even so, what I don't understand is why my Apple Watch displays times one way (the way I want) from the calendar app/glance and another way (in my home time zone) in the notifications.Okay, I'm not a Mac user, but I use Outlook, a similar calendar setup.

That, or you could try an event where you did not override time zone and see if that works for you. I guess someone else that travels across time zones much more than I do would have to address this. It may just be my understanding of the time zone adjustments versus the time zone override. From there, since the notifications are set for Pretoria time, then the notification is set to do the same thing, which would occur like you said, because of the time difference.I'm not sure that it is possible for you to have both, time zone override and timely notifications.

The only way to work around it now is to keep your time zone in settings at the original spot ( Paris in this example) and never change it no matter where you are you change the time manually. I live in Africa am now in SF travel a lot and this is the most annoying feature. The problem here is the time zone concept. The calendar should have an option to keep times as entered despite the time zone, they used to have it many many years ago when we had PIM for contacts and calendars only. So once they solve the issue in the iPhone the watch will understand ( hopefully).

Which is more annoying? I would say it's better to have the calendar say what you want in the phone and the watch and you'll just have to use your fingers to count the difference in hours between the two places what can I say. The only downside to this is that you cannot check with clock programs what the time in Paris is right now because if it thinks it's 10 in Tanzania ( in reality it's 10 in Sf) it will say it's 9 in Paris.
